As the Under Secretary-General of the 10 th edition of Mostar International Model United Nations, which is going to be held in Mostar, April 2018, it is my pleasure to announce that we are now accepting Chairperson, Editor-in- chief and Crisis Team applications.
The following committees will be simulated at the 2018 edition:
- UN Security Council
- UNOOSA Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space
- Arab League
- EU Foreign Affairs Council
We are looking for Committee Chairpersons, who will be responsible for selecting the topics of
their respective committees in coordination with the Secretary-General, creating a study-guide,
reviewing position papers and providing feedback to delegates, managing in- and out-of-
committee communication with the delegates, enforcing the rules of procedure and generally
ensuring the smooth and productive operation of their respective committees. We are also
looking for an Editor-in- chief, who will be responsible for day-to- day media content creation,
while managing a team of journalists. Fluency in English is a requirement for this position and
previous experience in the field of journalism is highly recommended.
Furthermore, we are looking for Crisis Team members. Previous experience as a participant in
crisis driven committees is a minimum requirement for these positions and previous experience
preparing and executing a crisis scenario within a crisis team is highly recommended.

Nations 2018. We expect applicants to demonstrate a strong command of spoken and written
English, to excel in public speaking, to show a firm grasp of the Rules of Procedure, to possess a
high degree of maturity and understanding of committee dynamics and to maintain a high
standard of professionalism and responsibility in meeting deadlines and delivering on
